About Barbour by David Wood

Barbour has been providing their customers with oilskin outerwear for braving the foul weather since 1894. The Brand was originally launched under the name John Barbour & Sons with the sub-title “Beacon Brand”. Barbour Clothing was first designed and manufactured for the costal dock workers and warehousemen of South Shields England. It then became a staple for the country pursuits and horse folk of the English countryside. The cold, wet weather of South Shields is not unlike the weather in Portland ME, the home of Barbour by David Wood. Our store is also located on a working waterfront and we live the lifestyle that John Barbour’s clothing was intended for.

A flat shipping rate of $10.00 will be added to all domestic orders. Orders are shipped via UPS Ground unless otherwise noted and can be tracked on the UPS website. UPS 2nd Day Air costs $25.00 per order. Shipping for international orders varies on UPS international rates, please inquire about international rates via store email. UPS website

Return Policy

Unwanted goods can be shipped back to Barbour by David Wood in unworn condition with tags attached for a full refund inside of 15 days. Store credit will be issued for goods returned in unworn condition with tags attached after 15 days. No returns will be accepted after 30 days.
